KL Rahul’s Bold Statement on IPL Owners
Indian star wicket-keeper KL Rahul made a massive statement on the owners of the Indian Premier league. BCCI is about to announce the rules regarding the mega auctions and the retention policy of the next IPL by the end of August. KL Rahul believes that the team owners are businessmen in IPL and they select players based on their data, but that does not give the clarity of that player will play the same as per their data throughout the whole season.
“Owners coming from business backgrounds in IPL do research and pick the team, but it doesn’t guarantee that you will win every game. You might get the best player based on data, but they might have a horrible year. Every player can have a bad day in sports,” Rahul said.
During the IPL 2024, a heated debate was captured between KL Rahul and his team owner Sanjeev Goenka. After this incident, the team suffered a loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad. Since then, it is believed that Rahul might not be a part of Lucknow in the IPL 2025, along with the LSG management releasing him.
