Nottingham Forest Not There Yet On Swoop, Club ‘Not Convinced’ And Tuesday ‘Will Be Key’

Feyenoord are ‘not convinced’ about selling Santiago Gimenez to Nottingham Forest and Tuesday ‘will be key’ to deciding the future of the Mexico international.

 

Nottingham Forest are chasing Gimenez with a move to land Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal now firmly off the table at the City Ground.

 

They have gone in with a fresh bid and it has been suggested that it should be acceptable for Feyenoord, with the deal now close to happening.

 

 

However, according to Mexican journalist Rene Tovar, Feyenoord are ‘not convinced’ by the prospect of selling Gimenez to Nottingham Forest yet.

 

Rather than the deal being all but done, there remains serious work to do and Tuesday ‘will be key’ towards deciding where the Mexican’s future lies.

 

 

Gimenez would bank a big wage rise if he does move to Nottingham Forest this summer.

 

He has not though been putting pressure on Feyenoord to let him leave De Kuip.

 

 

If Feyenoord end up deciding that they do not want to sell him to Nottingham Forest then Gimenez is expected to be happy to continue at the Dutch giants.
