Love Is Blind UK’s Cat reveals she’s been secretly dating another co-star for a YEAR and they’ve even MOVED IN together
LOVE Is Blind UK’s Cat Richards has let slip that she’s in a new relationship after getting snubbed at the altar by Freddie Powell – and has been for a YEAR.
The 29-year-old Netflix star was seen in an up-and-down romance with Freddie after they fell in love in the show’s ‘pods’, with Freddie proposing having never seen her.
While they didn’t end up getting married, Cat has shared she’s now happily loved up with another member of the pods.
Despite fans becoming convinced she was dating Sam Klein from the pods, it’s since been revealed her new beau is actually the little-seen Jake Singleton-Hill.
The couple even live together and have a dog.
Cat spilled the beans about her new relationship on a podcast for Bailiwick Express, the local newspaper for the Channel Islands.
She told host Christie Bailey confirmed she was “with someone from the pods” before confirming it was Jake.
“Jake, he was in the pods, but he wasn’t chosen. He got engaged, but he wasn’t chosen to go on the retreat. So not everyone is picked. Netflix only choose five couples, I was lucky enough, but sadly, he wasn’t. But his journey was very rough in there, like he had a rollercoaster of emotions, like the way he was treated.
“So I reached out to him. I hadn’t seen him. I only saw Freddie and the couples on the retreat, so I saw him on socials, and I was like, ‘I wonder if he’s the one from the show’. So I messaged him.
“I was like, ‘hey, like, just want to check in, are you okay?’ Because I was in the girl lounge with his fiance, and I just knew the drama that was going on that was crazy. And he messaged me, and he was like,Who is this? And I was like, Cat. And he was like, Oh my God, because he didn’t know what I look like!”
“He was like, Wait, aren’t you married? I was like, ‘funny story…’, because obviously the wedding was what would have been like two weeks before that,” she added.
“We were on FaceTime for about five hours that evening and then we spoke every day for five weeks,” Cat gushed.
“Then, I went to go and visit him for the weekend, and now we live together with the dog!”
Cat admitted she initially didn’t go for Jake after he proved “popular” with the other girls in the experiment, and was put off with the idea of him having a pet dog.
She eventually formed a connection and got engaged to Freddie, with the experiment sending them off to Corfu with five of the other couples.
However, the pair ended up having issues in their relationship, and while Cat said yes at the altar, Freddie turned her down, saying that “the timing might not be right for them”.
Fans later believed she was starting a romance with Sam Klein, with the duo – who have both proven divisive on the show – sharing TikTok’s together and appearing on the official podcast at the same time.
After walking away from each other at the end of the wedding episodes, fans will be able to tune in tonight to see what happened after the cameras stopped rolling.
The reunion special is promising fireworks, with some fans fearing one marriage has already ended.
