The Beauty of Joseon Glow Deep Serum, $15.99, contains rice water, alpha-arbutin, and niacinamide.

According to Byrdie, rice water as a skincare tool has been popular for hundreds of years in many Asian cultures, like Japan, Korea, and China.

Some of alpha-albutin’s potential benefits include anti-aging properties, added hydration, and skin-brightening that can help fade and lighten dark spots and marks.

Niacinamide helps to even out skin tone, improve texture, and diminish acne.

The description noted that the product works for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

You can use the product as part of your morning and evening routine, but the brand warned that “alpha-arbutin is vulnerable to light and heat.”
