Duke Football Gets A Huge Commitment

This is truly a big deal

Football season starts on Friday with the Blue Devils hosting Elon. And the Manny Diaz era got a huge boost as 4-star defensive end Bryce Davis flipped from Clemson to Duke.

This is a really big deal: Davis is the highest rated commitment Duke has ever gotten, and no doubt there’s a certain satisfaction in taking him away from the Tigers. Clemson is used to ruling the ACC roost. Adding Davis on top of Duke’s massive upset of the Tigers last season and it’s even bigger.

Here’s what he said on Twitter: “I love the culture, I love the people, & I love what they are building at Duke. It’s time to be different. Bleed Blue”

Aside from picking up an outstanding prospect, look at what he said about Duke, because that’s important. If a guy like that makes a public statement that he sees something special happening in Durham, it’s going to have an impact. This is pretty great news for Diaz, Duke and what is being built.
