Wolves’ Pursuit Of Arsenal Goalkeeper Looks Complicated

Wolverhampton Wanderers remain in talks with Arsenal over Aaron Ramsdale but the operation looks complicated due to the figures involved, according to the BBC.

Despite earning nearly £100m from the sale of Pedro Neto and Max Kilman, the Molineux club are not expected to spend heavily in the coming four days.

Gary O’Neil is keen to strengthen his defence and add a winger, but a goalkeeper has remained on the agenda too.

Wolves have Arsenal’s out-of-favour goalkeeper Ramsdale in mind and have continued discussions with the Gunners over a deal.

The club had proposed an initial loan deal for Ramsdale but Mikel Arteta’s side are looking to offload him permanently.

In order to sanction a sale though, Arsenal are sticking to a £20m price tag.

Things as they stand have led to Wolves deeming the transfer to be an expensive option.

It remains to be seen whether they show the courage to meet Arsenal’s demands in the coming days.
