Jenna Ortega Reveals the 'Dune' Role She Auditioned For

Jenna Ortega almost starred in the Dune movies!

While promoting her new movie Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the 21-year-old actress recently stopped by BuzzFeed Celeb for their Puppy Interview where she answered some questions from fans.

During the segment, Jenna revealed the role she auditioned for in director Denis Villeneuve‘s 2021 epic sci-fi action movie led by Timothee Chalamet.

Keep reading to find out more…“I think I auditioned for Dune when I was about 15,” Jenna recalled. “I remember just being a big fan of that film and the franchise and everything like that and being really excited for that interview because Denis is one of my favorite filmmakers.”

If you didn’t know, the role of Chani ended up going to Zendaya, who reprised the role for the 2023 sequel.

“I think it was Chani, I think it was Zendaya’s, but they weren’t saying that, everything was very secret,” Jenna added.
