THE Denver Broncos finished their preseason with a resounding 38-12 triumph over the Arizona Cardinals.

And one fan was celebrated for a small victory of his own.

A viral social media clip shows a Broncos supporter trading words with another man while holding a beer.

He appeared to try and intimidate the other man, who connected with two punches to his face.

A second assailant also threw a punch as the supporter fell to the ground still clutching his drink.

He was hit again while on the concrete before other supporters and security stepped in and the two other men left the scene.

The fan had only one shoe on as he stumbled to his feet, but somehow managed to save his beer.

Viewers shared their appreciation for the man’s handling skills.

“Now that is a skilled beer drinker! Waste not want not,” wrote one.

“BUT NO MATTER HOW BAD HE GOT PUMMELED HE DIDNT DROP HIS BEER,” added another.

“Didn’t drop the beer,” a third posted.

“He lost his sneaker tho,” noted a fourth.

Denver finished 8-9 last season, but the omens are looking good for rookie quarterback Bo Nix.

The No. 12 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft sat out against Arizona after being named the starter for the opener against Seattle on September 8.

He will be the first rookie quarterback to start Week 1 for the Broncos since NFL legend John Elway.

“Obviously, that’s great to share with such a great player like John Elway,” Nix said.

“Doesn’t matter when your first start is. Doesn’t matter if you have to wait or you go right now, you just want to go out there and get the win, and ultimately compete at a high level.

“So that’s what my goal is at the beginning is just to give our team the best chance to win games.”

Nix beat Zach Wilson and Jarrett Stidham in the battle for the No. 1 jersey and head coach Sean Payton is happy with his quarterback room.

“Bo will start and we’ve kind of gone through our process,” he said.

“In the very beginning of it all, just speaking with George (Paton) and Greg (Penner) and understanding that oftentimes these things take care of themselves.

“We’re not in a hurry to arrive at those types of decisions. We want to see it. And I think it’s important, relative to the team, that we handle it that way.

“He’s been outstanding. Obviously, there’s a ton of room for growth, there’s a lot of things that he needs to work on. I’ve already spoke with all three of those guys.

“Stiddy will be a great resource for him, as well as Zach.”
