Emergency energy meeting on Wednesday to discuss Vasiliko, interconnector

The House energy and commerce committee will hold a snap session on Wednesday to discuss Vasiliko, the Great Sea Interconnector and Tui.

All three topics have plagued news headlines, particularly Vasiliko liquified natural gas (LNG) terminal that is now the subject of an EU corruption investigation.

The Great Sea Interconnector prompted a number of rumours that Finance Minister Makis Keravnos may resign, which he ardently denied.

MPs are set to discuss guarantees on the interconnector project in case of geopolitical risks, as well as reducing Cyprus’ participation in the project.

As for Tui, lawmakers will discuss the latest developments surrounding excursions to the north.
