House education committee meeting to discuss new school year

The House education committee is set meet on Wednesday at 9am to discuss the start of the new school year and the strategy for higher education.

According to the agenda published on the website of the House of Representatives, the committee will also plan its work for upcoming sessions.

In addition, it will receive updates on the start of the 2024-2025 school year. At 10.30am, the focus of the meeting will shift to the higher education strategy.

The committee has invited several key stakeholders to attend the session on the school year, including Education Minister Athena Michaelidou, the president of the Pancyprian Coordinating Committee of School Boards, representatives from the teachers’ unions Oelmek, Oltek and Poed and representatives from parent and student associations across various levels of education.
