We continue our stretch of very hot days this week, with highs back into the mid to upper 90s this afternoon. Heat alerts take effect at noon today, as high humidity results in heat indices close to the triple digits. We'll see mainly sunny skies, with just a light breeze.
For tomorrow, heat alerts remain in effect. Highs reach the upper 90s, with increasing humidity. Wednesday looks to be the hottest day as far as "feels-like" temps are concerned. Expect heat indices near and above 100°. We'll also be tracking a few spotty storm chances late Wednesday as a result of that high heat and humidity.
By Thursday, we're still warm, with highs in the lower to middle 90s. We'll see partly cloudy skies, with just an isolated storm chance.
A cold front finally nears the area on Friday, bringing scattered storm chances, mainly during the afternoon and evening. We'll still be hot Friday, with highs in the middle 90s.
We start to clear up into the start of the weekend, with just a few lingering showers early Saturday. Temps then start to drop, and humidity starts to fall, too.
