Who is Lee McKenzie, how old is she and what is her background?
Lee McKenzie is a journalist and presenter who is most known for her world in the field of motorsports.
She has followed in the footsteps of her father, Bob McKenzie, who practised the same trade.
Born in December 1977, the sports presenter grew up in the small village of Alloway on the west coast of Scotland.
Before becoming an official patron of the World Horse Welfare in 2009, Horse riding was always a big part of Lee’s life.

As well as presenting sports, Lee was previously a co-driver in World Rally Championships.
Lee made history by becoming the first woman to be awarded the Jim Clark Memorial award for her achievement in the sport.
The f1 presenter owns and runs a driver management company that looks after drivers from GP2 to World Rally.
What has she done in her career so far?
Starting her career in the news sector, Lee quickly moved over to sports.
Lee landed her first job in journalism by working as a trainee at Border TV aged just 15.
She has covered a variety of sports events in her career, including the Olympics, Wimbledon, the Six Nations and horse racing.
In 2009 she became an F1 pitlane reporter for the BBC, moving to Channel 4 when the BBC dropped the broadcasting rights in 2016.
Lee also presented highlights of the World Endurance Championship for Channel 4, and was the main host of W Series in its inaugural season in 2019.
Her first book ‘Inside F1’ was published in 2022.
