Emergency repairs on I-35 in north Austin causing delays

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Crews are working to fix a hole in a main lane of Interstate 35, and the repairs are causing some traffic delays Tuesday morning.

The issue is on the southbound main lanes of I-35, just north of Howard Lane in north Austin. The Texas Department of Transportation said a drainage inlet was damaged.

A repair timeline was not shared.

The southbound right lane at Howard Lane is closed while crews repair the roadway, TxDOT said.
