Liverpool Ready To Make Interest In Winger Official

Liverpool are ready to make their interest in Juventus winger Federico Chiesa official by tabling their first bid for the player.

 

Chiesa has emerged as a surprise target for the Reds in the last few days as new manager Arne Slot looks to make his first signing of the summer.

 

The Italian has been deemed surplus to requirement in Turin and concluding a move for him should not prove to be too difficult.

 

 

With that prospect in mind, the Merseyside club are now taking concrete steps in the direction of making their interest official.

 

In fact, according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, Liverpool are ready to make a formal bid for Chiesa.

 

 

However, they have to be wary of the fact that La Liga giants Barcelona continue to wait in the background.

 

Under Massimiliano Allegri last season Chiesa played 33 of Juventus’ 38 Serie A games, making 12 goal contributions.

 

 

However, new boss Thiago Motta does not have the 26-year-old in his plans and has not included him in the team for their first two games of the season.
