City of Portland offices fix internet outage that impacted 911 texting

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – An internet outage impacted several City of Portland offices, including the text-to-911 feature for emergency services, on Tuesday.

During the outage, which lasted from roughly 6:30 a.m. to just before noon, officials said that anyone experiencing an emergency requiring immediate attention should call 911.

The Bureau of Technology Services has since resolved the outage.
