'Baywatch' Cast Reunites at Doc Premiere With Two Notable Exceptions

The cast of Baywatch reunited for the Los Angeles premiere of a new ABC News Studios docuseries, After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun. And although many of the rotating cast members from 11 seasons of the soapy lifeguard drama appeared at the premiere, two of its most famous stars were noticeably absent.

The four-part documentary is described as a "nostalgic and insightful exploration of the cultural phenomenon that defined an era, and an unprecedented look into the stars who brought the world's most famous lifeguards to life." The docuseries will feature dozens of new cast interviews and never-before-seen footage, to unpack "how the show captured the mythology of California's beach culture, set physical beauty standards for an entire generation, and capitalized on the adage 'sex sells.'"

Among the stars who attended the premiere included Carmen Electra, Nicole Eggert, Alexandra Paul, Jeremy Jackson, Brandy Ledford, David Chokachi, Brande Roderick, Traci Bingham, Jaason Simmons, Erika Eleniak, Michael Bergin, Nancy Valen, and Michael Newman.

However, Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff, who played played lifeguards C.J. Parker and Mitch Buchannon, respectively, were not in attendance.

Eggert, who starred as Summer Quinn in seasons 3 and 4 of Baywatch, attended the premiere with a shaved head after being diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer late last year.

"I am good," the 52-year-old, who is also producing the docuseries, told People at the premiere. "I am in sort of a gray area and I finished my treatment, waiting for more imaging and hopefully maybe surgery."

Although Anderson, 57, declined to participate in any interview for the series, she did appear in a never-aired interview that can be seen in the trailer, below. "I’m really proud of everything I’ve done—almost," the famous blonde said with a giggle.

After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun will stream on Hulu starting Wednesday, Aug. 28.
