Amtrak, NJ Transit delayed in and out of Penn Station on second day of fare holiday
NEW YORK (PIX11) -- NJ Transit and Amtrak are experiencing delays in and out of Penn Station Tuesday evening, according to officials.
NJ Transit said delays will be up to 30 minutes.
Amtrak said crews are making repairs.
"Service Disruption Update: As of 2:30 PM, single-tracking conditions are in effect due to track maintenance in and out of New York (NYP). Delays of up to 30 minutes are anticipated while crews work to make the necessary repairs. We appreciate your continued patience," Amtrak said on social media.
The delays occurred on the second day of NJ Transit's fare holiday, which New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy announced earlier this month.
