Process for student council polls to start after festive season: Mamata

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that student council elections in higher educational institutions will resume after the festive season. These elections have been on hold for years. The Leader of Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari, accused the government of delaying elections to suppress student dissent against the administration.
