On Wednesday, her famous daughter shared a video on Instagram, addressing having been vaping in front of Amy.

Katie said: “I have a big confession to make- and if there’s anyone out there that wants to join me, do it.

“I’ve been vaping for a year. It’s no good for you, no good for you.

“Especially when my mum’s had her lung transplant, it’s disrespectful doing this in front of my mum.

“I’ve decided today is the day I am throwing this battery, chemical addictive horrible thing away.”

She added: “I am now doing vapes no more for today.

“I’ve got the strength to get rid of them.”

Amy had a lung transplant in 2022 but last year admitted things were “up and down”.

It comes as Amy was rushed to hospital after discovering a burst cyst

Speaking on her and her sister Sophie’s podcast, The Katie Price Show, the titular star told listeners: “Mum ended up at the hospital because she had a burst cyst from an ultrasound.”

Sophie continued: “I had to take mum to A&E. The hospital were really good actually, we went to Medway hospital.

“Took mum up to A&E because she had a burst cyst, I think it was, but she is all fine.”

Meanwhile, Amy herself previously revealed how before being offered a transplant, she felt she was in her “final year”.

She said: “I gradually got worse and in 2022 I knew that was my last year because of the symptoms I had with the IPF.

“I could hardly breathe, walking was difficult, I was on oxygen more or less 24 hours [a day].

“When I was offered a transplant I just jumped at it.”

Later, Amy revealed how things had been a bit touch and go during her surgery.

Amy's condition

In 2017, Katie Price’s mum Amy was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis [IPF].

This is a terminal lung disease with a life expectancy of three to five years.

She underwent a lung transplant in November 2022 but later said her health was still “up and down”.

Previously, Amy revealed how things had been touch and go during her surgery: “I went into cardiac arrest and they had to pump me to bring me back and I didn’t know that.”

In February 2024, she was rushed to hospital after discovering a burst cyst.

Later, daughter Katie reassured fans that her mum was OK.

She said: “I went into cardiac arrest and they had to pump me to bring me back and I didn’t know that.”

Prior to the op, Katie opened up about her fears her mum wouldn’t be around much longer.

The star revealed: “My mum is my absolute rock, my absolute best friend.

“To be told she’s got an incurable breathing disease breaks my heart. Sadly, she hasn’t got long left to live.”
