Today, Wednesday (August 28), marks the four-year anniversary of Chadwick Boseman‘s tragic death and one of his past co-stars, Lupita Nyong’o, is remembering him and his legacy publicly.

The 41-year-old actress took to Instagram with an emotional tribute in memory of the late Black Panther actor.

She captioned the photos with a quote, “Grief never ends. But it changes. It is a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith. It’s the price of love.”

While the author of this quote is unknown, Lupita seemed to know exactly what it meant and just how helpful it could be to those grieving. The comments on the post were flooded with love and grief and memories of the late actor.

Chadwick was just 43-years-old when he passed in 2020 after battling colon cancer. He had made a name for himself and cemented his legacy as the MCU’s first black superhero. He may be gone, but he’s never forgotten.
