No signs of pilot impairment in fatal Colonie plane crash

COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Investigators have released the toxicology report of the pilot who was killed in a June plane crash in Colonie. Police said Natalie Gillis was not impaired by alcohol or drugs at the time of the crash.

A preliminary report from federal investigators found there were no obvious signs of mechanical malfunctions at the time of the crash. The plane climbed to 800 feet after taking off from Albany International Airport, rolled three times, and then crashed in a wooded area near the library.

Officials said it could take months before the final report is released.
