Gurgaon: Former banker cheated of Rs 8.5 lakh in investment fraud

A retired State Bank of India employee living in Gurgaon was swindled out of Rs 8.5 lakh by cyber fraudsters. The victim joined investment groups on WhatsApp and Telegram, promising substantial returns. After trying to withdraw funds, he was asked to pay a tax, raising suspicion and leading to a police complaint.
