Love Island feud reignited as OG villa girl takes a savage swipe at rival
A LOVE Island is rumbling on a month after the summer series came to an end.
Original villa girl Jess White didn’t see eye to eye with co-star Harriett Blackmore as they battled for Ronnie Vint’s affections early in the series.
Former retail manager Jess, who branded herself ‘the prize’, regularly took swipes at Harriett in the villa.
Now eagle-eyed fans have spotted another subtle dig from her on social media.
It came as one Love Island fan commented that Harriett was “the prize” after seeing a glam picture of her.
One fan disagreed and wrote “me when I lie” which caught Jess’s eye and she gave it a like.
Villa fans weren’t happy about it, with one writing in a forum: “She’s so corny. This ‘beef’ is so one sided and always has been. It’s always been Jess being hateful and mean.”
Another said: “All this over Ronnie is a joke lol. Jess is mad he ‘chose’ Harriett over her and hasn’t got over it. It’s funny when during the show after Ronnie and Harriett split she was good with her. Once she got back with him Jess was back to hating lol.”
A third said: “Jess, what are you doing she must really hate Harriett.”
Harriett and Ronnie were dumped from the villa in a public vote ahead of Casa Amor.
Jess was initially coupled up with Ronnie, but soon he was sneaking off to the Hideaway with Harriett for secret snogging sessions.
While Ronnie refused to pick between them, the resentment between the two girls began to grow, with Harriett telling Jess he had been “eye-f***ing her all night”.
Eventually, after a series of rows with Ronnie, Jess removed herself from the situation and coupled up with Sean Stone instead.
She declared in her speech at the recoupling ceremony: “Obviously, while he’s exploring other connections, I am not being made to feel second best.
“I am the prize and I am not going to be in competition with another woman in this villa.”
Ronnie would then stir the pot further by striking up a connection and kissing Tiffany Leighton, before ultimately reuniting with Harriett before they were dumped.
In final scenes, Jess was seen laughing as the pair were given their marching orders from the villa, and was even given the announcement text to read out.
At points, moments got so intensely awkward that viewers branded Jess a “bully” over her behaviour towards Harriett.
Though not officially in a relationship, Ronnie and Harriett are still close and are “seeing each other”.
