Report: Tottenham make big Will Lankshear decision amidst loan interest
The Athletic reveal that Tottenham Hotspur are set to hold onto Will Lanshear despite a growing number of clubs expressing an interest in signing the striker on loan.
Will Lankshear was on fire for Spurs last season
Lankshear enjoyed a prolific season for the Under-21s last term, with his goals taking Tottenham to the Premier League 2 title.
On the back of that, many would have expected the centre-forward to be allowed to test himself in the EFL this season.
However, it has now emerged that the 19-year-old will not follow the likes of Ashley Phillips, Dane Scarlett, Jamie Donley and Alejo Veliz out on loan.
Lankshear will stay at Spurs despite loan interest
Lankshear, who is yet to make his senior debut for Spurs, is expected to remain in Hotspur Way for the 2024-25 season after impressing Ange Postecoglou and his coaching staff in pre-season.
This is despite the fact that the teenager has attracted interest from Championship sides as well as from abroad.
The Athletic adds that the young centre-forward will continue training with the first-team and he may be handed opportunities to impress in the Europa League.

Postecoglou may have decided that it would be more beneficial for Lankshear to train with the world-class players at Spurs rather than dropping down to the Championship, where he will be expected to contest long balls against big, burley centre-halves.
Tottenham may reconsider whether or not to loan out the 19-year-old during January.
