Novato residents accused of vandalizing neighbor’s property

Novato police arrested two suspects after a neighborhood dispute in the Ignacio area.

The incident was reported Tuesday night on Alameda Del Prado. Police Sgt. Alan Bates said the suspects allegedly vandalized a neighbor’s property and threatened the neighbor. The neighbor used pepper spray to fend off the suspects.

Ali Mustafa Omar, 38, was booked into the county jail on suspicion of criminal threats, vandalism, disorderly conduct and violating his probation terms. He is being held without a bail amount because of the alleged probation offense.

Alison Horick, 39, was arrested on suspicion of vandalism, criminal threats and public intoxication. Horick was released from jail on Wednesday, Marin County sheriff’s Sgt. Adam Schermerhorn said.

Horick could not be reached for comment.
