October 17th-Sovereign Lake Nordic Development Centre Fundraising Dinner
The Sovereign Lake Nordic Club is now in its third season of operating this high-performance team which targets athletes who are post-secondary in academic age. Over these past two seasons we have gathered quite a bit of momentum, especially on our biathlon side. We have multiple Canada Winter Games medalists, National Championship medalists, and athletes who qualified and competed in both the Youth & Junior World Championships, along with the Youth Olympic Games! We are now approaching national training centre status and gaining a reputation for athlete development within Canada.
While this is all very exciting, we, like many others, are being hit pretty hard by the general cost of living and training to pursue athletic success.
This dinner event at Silverstar Brewing Company is intended to bring together our wonderful Vernon and Silver Star community for a night of yummy food, good drinks, and inspiring stories about sport! We hope that you leave the night with full bellies, fuller hearts, and hopefully a silent auction item or two!
