Anjorin began his career with Chelsea in 2008 and worked his way up through the academy.

The England U20s star made his senior debut under Frank Lampard in 2019’s Carabao Cup victory over Grimsby Town.

And later that season he played in the 4-0 Premier League win over Everton.

Anjorin also made appearances in the FA Cup and Champions League, going on to win the latter in 2021 under Thomas Tuchel.

In total he played five times for boyhood club Chelsea.

But his time in west London was also marked by several loan moves.

After winning the Champions League, Anjorin went on loan to Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow.

But he played just 9 times before returning early to the Bridge.

Anjorin’s next move saw him take in two short spells at Huddersfield, playing a total of 17 games.

The most recent campaign had Anjorin starring at Portsmouth, where he featured 14 times in all competitions as they became League One champions.

But Anjorin has now left permanently, with Serie A side Empoli ready to give him a chance.

It’s believed they have not paid a transfer fee for the ace’s services.

But Chelsea are entitled to 50 per cent of his next move should Anjorin depart Empoli before the end of his contract, which expires in 2027.
