Limassol, Larnaca roadworks close motorway emergency lanes

Hard shoulder maintenance works along the Larnaca-Kofinou and Larnaca Ayia Napa motorways, including junctions, will be carried out in September, without impacting traffic, the Public Works Department has announced.

Roadworks on the Larnaca-Kofinou motorway will take place from September 2 to 13, on weekdays, from 8.30am to 3.00pm. The hard shoulder, from the Kalo Chorio roundabout to the exit leading to the Nicosia-Limassol motorway and back, will be closed in 1km sections at a time.

Similarly, roadworks on the Larnaca-Ayia Napa motorway will begin on September 4 and conclude on September 30, also on weekdays, from 8.30am to 3.00pm. During this period, the hard shoulder from Larnaca airport to the third exit for Xylophagou and back will be closed in 1km sections at a time.

The department urges the public to follow all posted signs for safety and guidance.
