Jet2 passenger swears and thrashes about as he’s dragged off plane at airport

Footage shows the moment a passenger was dragged off a Jet2 plane at Manchester Airport.

Staff said the man had become ‘particularly disruptive’ before the flight bound for Dalaman, Turkey, took off on Thursday.

He was filmed by several passengers being hauled out of the back of the cabin by three police officers.

With his head bowed and his hands restrained behind his back, he could be heard loudly swearing and trying to thrash about as he was escorted away.

Other passengers could be seen leaning away to avoid him, with one man who was nursing a beer carefully holding the beverage out of harm’s way.

Jet2 said the plane had made it to the runway before the incident but the pilot was then forced to taxi back to its stand.

The plane was delayed by an hour and fifteen minutes. It’s not clear whether the man was arrested or charged afterwards.

A spokesperson for the company said: ‘We can confirm that flight LS921 returned to stand earlier today (Thursday 29th August) so that police could offload a particularly disruptive passenger.”

‘We would like to thank the police and our crew for their handling of this matter. The flight departed after the passenger was removed and we would like to apologise to customers for the delay, as well as for any upset caused.

‘As a family friendly airline, we take a zero tolerance approach to disruptive passenger behaviour.’
