Top chef, 41, who worked with Gordon Ramsay dies after ‘attack’ in second tragedy at Notting Hill Carnival

A TOP chef who worked with Gordon Ramsey has died after being attacked at Notting Hill Carnival.

Mussie Imnetu, 41, suffered catastrophic brain injuries, having been found by police officers with a head injury outside Dr Power restaurant in Queensway at 11.22pm on Monday (August 26).

Cops gave emergency first aid until paramedics arrived.

He had also suffered bleeding on the brain and multiple cardiac arrests.

Mussie was taken to a west London hospital where, despite the best efforts of medical staff, he died on Friday.

He was visiting the UK from Dubai where he lived and worked.

Omar Wilson, 31, of Leytonstone, was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday where he was remanded in custody to appear at Southwark Crown Court on September 27.

In light of Mussie’s death, the offence will be reviewed in conjunction with the Crown Prosecution Service.
