Pedestrian hit, killed by car overnight along I-40

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to a fatal auto-pedestrian accident along I-40 overnight Saturday.

According to officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-40 and S Meridian Avenue around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.

OHP confirmed a vehicle was traveling at a high speed and struck the pedestrian.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

The scene of the crash is under investigation.
