Chelsee, who has played Goldie MCQueen in the Channel 4 soap for the last eight years, is the second female celebrity to sign up for the new series, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern, alongside Fern McCann.

A source tells me: “Chlesee is absolutely hilarious and of course incredibly glamorous.

“She made it to the final of Strictly back in 2011 so there are high hopes that she will once again wow viewers with her dance moves.

“Bosses are determined to get a sexy female line up especially given the lack of women on Strictly this year and Chelsee is one of the hottest soap stars out there.

“Everyone is very excited to have her on board.”

The source added: “Chelsee can’t wait to take to the ice.

“Strictly was so long ago and this time there’s the added danger of performing on ice.

“She knows it’s going to be tough but she’s really excited to get out there.

“It’s also something her young daughter Coco can share with her, the whole family are so excited.”

The Sun revealed last month how Ferne had become the first star to sign for Dancing On Ice.

The move by Ferne sees the former Towie cast member, 34, step back into the spotlight after leaked audio heard her slating the victims of her acid attacker ex, Arthur Collins.

Ferne apologised for her comments in 2022, which she said were “manipulated, edited and taken entirely out of context.”

ITV backed her at the time and continued to screen her First Time Mum series.

A source said: “It’s been a rough few years for Ferne but she has always been an ITV star, with her roots on Towie and then with her first steps into the mainstream on I’m A Celebrity in 2015.
