‘It just wasn’t working’ says Celebs Go Dating star as they share details of divorce
CELEBS Go Dating’s Stephen Webb opened up about his heartbreaking split from husband Daniel Lustig while on a date with a potential new suitor.
The Gogglebox star signed up to the E4 series in the hope of moving on from his six-year marriage and 11-year long relationship.

Stephen told Saif: “I spearheaded it. I felt like it had come to an end really.
“We had started living separate lives. It just wasn’t working anymore. But he was one of the best things that ever happened to me.”
Admitting he was getting emotional, the conversation came to a close.
He later told cameras: “Talking about Daniel is always going to be hard.
“He’s a lovely guy and I still love him with all my heart, but it feels good to be talking to Saif about it.”
Stephen and Daniel shocked fans in April when they announced they had ended their relationship.
Stephen’s statement, posted on Instagram, read: “It’s with much sadness Daniel and I have decided to divorce. “There is, and always will be, a lot of love there but we’ve unfortunately grown apart and made the decision to part ways.
Daniel later followed suit, and wrote: “We’ve made the decision with a heavy heart to confirm our marriage has come to an end. I’m sure we will forever be friends.”
The pair have remained close, and still run their hairdresser businesses together – with Daniel even making an appearance on Celebs Go Dating to help his ex move on.
However, that has been far easier said than done after one date ended in disaster, with Stephen angering fans with his ‘humiliating’ remarks to his dates.
Set up for a dinner with 39-year-old driving instructor Dean Muir, the two men clashed when Stephen branded him “boring” for wanting to wait before becoming physically intimate.
He later tried to steer the conversation towards sexual topics, with Dean later branding the date a ‘Zero out of 10’.
Stephen was given a tongue lashing by agent Paul Brunson as he labelled the TV star “selfish”, “crude” and “closed minded”, claiming that Stephen would “not be successful in life” if he carried on this way.
The hairdresser eventually broke down in tears, saying: “I’ve come across as a pervert!
“My head is all over the place, I just feel like my whole personality has been destroyed.”
