Chhatra Samaj's Sayan Lahiri freed from police custody, vows to keep fighting
Kolkata Police released Sayan Lahiri, convener of Paschimbanga Chhatra Samaj, following the Calcutta High Court's order. Lahiri had led a protest march on August 27 over the rape and murder of a trainee doctor. After his release, Lahiri emphasized the ongoing fight for justice. Meanwhile, junior doctors at RG Kar Medical College, where the incident occurred, have established a telemedicine clinic amid their ongoing strike, which has entered its 21st day. The clinic, named "Abhaya Clinic," operates daily from 10 am to 2 pm in several hospitals across the state.
