Adele Announces Indefinite Hiatus From Music, Reveals When It Starts

Adele shared some sad news with her fans while onstage during her German residency this weekend.

The 36-year-old “Easy On Me” crooner revealed that she was planning to embark upon an indefinite hiatus from her music career, and that it would be starting very soon.

On Saturday (August 31) during a speech from the stage in Munich, Adele explained that she would be taking a lengthy break from the industry as soon as she wrapped her Las Vegas residency.

“I have 10 shows to do, but after that I will not see you for an incredibly long time,” she said. “And I will hold you dear in my heart.”

Saturday was the final of 10 shows that she performed in Germany. Her Vegas residency resume on October 25 and will conclude a few weeks later on November 23.

This isn’t the first time that Adele has hinted at plans to take a break from music. She actually revealed what she plans on doing next, too.
