Thirty hooligans attack car and driver ahead of Anorthosis-Apollon match
Around 30 hooded football hooligans attacked a 31-year-old’s car on his way to a football match between Anorthosis and Apollon, police said on Sunday.
The 31-year-old was in the car with his two friends on the way to Antonis Papadopoulos stadium in Larnaca on Saturday evening.
At some point in the road, 30 hooded men, who were wearing symbols of one of the teams, threw stones at the man’s car and damaged it.
The hooligans then approached the man’s car and attacked him. They injured his face, and he was taken to Larnaca general, where he was given first aid and released.
Larnaca police are investigating the incident.
