The Voice’s Danny Jones reveals huge music legend defaced his passport leaving him unable to travel

THE Voice’s Danny Jones has revealed a huge music legend defaced his passport, which then left him unable to travel.

Danny, 38, was launched into the spotlight in boyband McFly when he was a teenager, and he’s currently on screens on The Voice, where, in a show first, he’s sharing a chair with co-star Tom Fletcher.

And there’s no denying Danny has worked with some huge music stars during his career, one of which includes Scottish singer Rod Stewart.

Rod is reportedly a family pal of Danny’s, and decided to invite the McFly boys onto his private jet after a concert for Childline.

But during the jaunt Rod decided to deface the passports by drawing penises on them, which meant the band had to order new travel documents.

Danny said on TV show Would I Lie To You: “Rod said, ‘Do you want a lift? I’ll give you a lift on my jet.’ Then he said, ‘I need your passports. So we get on the plane, give our passports to him and then fly to London.

“We get a call from our tour manager – I think he was applying for a visa.

“Then he was like, ‘Guys, bad news.’ Rod Stewart had drawn willies on our heads. It wasn’t fun travelling around – every customs [agent] was like, ‘You think that’s funny?’”

The Voice returned to screens on Saturday 31st August, and as well as British boyband royalty Tom and Danny sharing a chair, coaches Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am have resumed their positions.

The group are joined by brand new judge LeAnne Rimes.

And the show is risking a fix row after its first night back on screens, after it was revealed that one of the contestants is a Grammy-nominated artist.

Joy Farrukh blew viewers away with her incredible audition where she performed Elton John‘s Your Song.

Brand new judge LeAnn Rimes spun around for the singer, but had some feedback for Joy.

“I would have loved to have heard a little bit of differentiation,” LeAnn told Joy.

“You want to have another go?” Joy asked, with her eyebrows raised.

“Do you want to show me something different? I’d love to hear it,” LeAnn smiled.

“Would you sing it with me?” Joy asked.

“Oh!” LeAnn said, leaving Will.i.am stunned by the sudden twist.

“Sure,” she said standing up to join Joy on the stage.

The pair belted out the ballad, hitting every single note effortlessly.

But fans claim the stunning moment was a set up, with one saying: “Lovely but this was obviously rehearsed and planned. Proves the show is fixed.”

“What a load of b*******. 3 songs in and it’s a fix,” said a second.

“It’s all so set up!” echoed a third.

As well as the moment being accused as fake, it has been revealed that Joy is a professional singer.

Joy has worked with Moby and co-wrote “Lie Down in Darkness” which featured in Hugo Boss adverts.

She also toured with Basement Jaxx and got a Grammy nomination for Best Remixed Recording, Non Classical through Photek.

Joy has also collaborated with Grace Jones and Klaus Waldeck, with one of their tracks being used for a Mercedes advert.

But Joy has been a total hit with fans, with many singing her praises.
