President to speak at Greek composer Theodorakis’ memorial

President Nikos Christodoulides will leave on Monday for Chania, Crete, to attend and speak at the civil memorial service of Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis.

According to an announcement from the presidential palace, Christodoulides will be the main speaker at the memorial.

The event will take place on Monday at 8.00pm at the ‘Mikis Theodorakis’ Theatre, in the Venetian Port of Chania.

It is added that the civil memorial takes place in the framework of the “Mikis Theodorakis” Festival, that is co-organised by the Region of Crete and the Municipality of Chania.

The president will be accompanied by deputy government spokesperson, Yiannis Antoniou, and state officers.
