Kanyakumari brings South Indian flavors to brunch in Flatiron

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- In Flatiron, Kanyakumari is bringing South Indian flavors to brunch.

Chef Dipesh Shinde and owner Salil Mehta took PIX11 News through the restaurant's homemade gunpowder seasoning, dosas and chutneys.

The food at Kanyakumari is about much more than what's on the plate, Mehta said.

"When you're comfortable enough to share food with someone, the love grows," Mehta said.
