A TRAVELLER has revealed a “psychopathic” act she takes on as soon she gets back home from a trip.

And it’s dividing opinion among holidaymakers.

Sun-seeker Jessica Sulima says there’s nothing worse than getting home, having a shower and realising all of your toiletries are still packed deep in the suitcase.

But there’s a simple way around this, she argues.

The trick is to unpack everything as soon as you step foot in the door.

Jessica wrote for travel website thrillst: “It’s my least favourite scenario: I get home from an exhausting trip, jump straight into my everything shower, and step out to do my skincare … only to realise that all of my beloved products are packed away in a toiletry bag.”

According to a viral TikTok, unpacking immediately is a psychopathic thing to do.

But to avoid the dreaded post-shower problem of being without toiletries, Jessica doesn’t care what people think.

She writes: “I understand that when you return home from a journey, the last thing you want to do is organise your belongings.

“But hear me out.

“If you extend your adventurous spirit for just one hour (I recommend setting a timer and turning it into a challenge) you can prevent a week’s worth of slow, unpacking agony.

“The way I see it, you’re coming back covered in the dreaded airplane smell, so you might as well break the sweat while you’re still smelly.”

The short-term pain will lead to the long-term gain of a sound sleep and waking up the next day with everything stored in the right places, Jessica says.

Commenting on the viral TikTok, one social media user said: “Once my suitcase stayed packed two weeks.”

Another said: “I left my suitcase for a month.”

But Jessica argues letting the suitcase collect dust is admitting defeat.

She says: “Worst of all, as you navigate back and forth from suitcase to closet, you exist in this in-between state

“No longer in vacation mode, yet not quite back home, either.

“Face your fears head-on. Don’t settle for feeling unsettled.”

Some take things a step further.

A social media user seemingly petrified of airport germs said: “I disinfect my whole suitcase and wheels first lol then just throw clothes in washer!”
