Alejo Veliz opens his account for Espanyol in perfect fashion with a brilliant strike in stoppage time to give the La Liga club a 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano.
Alejo Veliz is doing well as Espanyol
The centre-forward has started all four games for the newly promoted side so far and he announced himself to the home fans in brilliant fashion yesterday as they picked up their first win of the season.
As stoppage time was running out, Espanyol launched a quick counter-attack and after the initial shot had been saved by the Rayo Vallecano goalkeeper, the home side played another low cross into the box.
The on-loan Tottenham man took an excellent touch into space before unleashing a piledrive into the top corner despite losing his balance.
