One injured in overnight shooting on Griggs Avenue
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- An investigation is underway after a female was shot while sitting in a parked vehicle outside a residence on Griggs Avenue early Sunday, authorities say.
According to the Lafayette Police Department, the shooting was reported around 2:08 a.m. in the 100 block of Griggs Avenue.
Responding officers gave first aid to the victim until paramedics arrived and took the victim to an area hospital for further treatment, police said. As of Sunday morning, the victim was in stable condition.
No other information about the victim was immediately provided.
