BBC Breakfast favourite announces return to iconic red sofa after weeks off screen

AFTER taking a well-deserved break, one of the beloved BBC Breakfast presenters has announced his return to the iconic red sofa.

Jon Kay took a two-week hiatus to enjoy a holiday in France.

He took some time away from the studio while on holiday in France[/caption]

During his absence, viewers took to social media to express how much they missed seeing him on the popular morning show.

Fans can now expect to see Jon back on BBC Breakfast in his usual slot, where he will once again team up with co-presenter Sally Nugent to bring the latest news to audiences across the UK.

Jon let viewers know about his return via an Instagram post where he shared a special memory from his time on holiday.

He started off by saying: “Heading home after a couple of weeks in France.

“Hopefully I’ll manage to find the BBC Breakfast studio..”

Then Jon showed his followers a clip from his time away, where he could be seen looking frazzled in a maze and trying to find his way out.

He added: “This was a “maize maze” on a Dordogne campsite. Took us much longer than we expected. And we didn’t *quite* finish…

“Hope you’ve also had an a-maze-ing summer. See you Monday.”

Fans flocked to the comments to share their excitement about his return, while joking about his unlucky adventure.
