Albany Police investigating robbery near Dove Street
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred early on Monday morning. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. near Dove and Chestnut Streets.
Following reports of a robbery in the area, arriving officers located a 29-year-old victim, who told police that two men had approached him while he was sitting in his car. The victim stated that one of the men reportedly forced open the driver's side door, brandished what appeared to be a handgun, and tried to pull the victim out of the vehicle.
When the driver refused to leave the car, the suspects allegedly demanded the victim's belongings. The two men then fled the scene on foot. Police say no injuries were reported.
