Men are ruling red-carpet fashion at the 2024 Venice International Film Festival with sharp suits and $23,000 watches

  • Men's fashion has shined at the 2024 Venice International Film Festival.
  • Stars like George Clooney and Jude Law have shown that classic suits will never go out of style.
  • But others like Ncuti Gatwa have shown that taking fashion risks can also pay off.

Men's fashion is having a moment at the 2024 Venice International Film Festival.

Across red carpets and photoshoots, male celebrities have been showing off their strongest outfits — from perfectly tailored suits to unique ties and leather accessories.

And of course, most of their looks are comprised of luxe designer pieces.

These are some of the best fashion moments so far.

Justin Theroux proved that you can never go wrong wearing black and white.

The actor, styled by Chloe Hartstein, wore a custom Zegna outfit comprised of a stark white jacket, matching button-up shirt, and black trousers.

He also wore a mix of metallic pieces and a diamond brooch from Tiffany & Co.

Zegna has proven to be a popular brand with men this year, as the brand's parent company, Zegna Group, reported a 6% rise in revenue during the first half of 2024 compared to the same time last year.

Ncuti Gatwa may have started a new trend: suit-style robes.

The actor arrived on the festival's red carpet wearing an all-black ensemble from Emporio Armani. It featured wide-leg pants, an asymmetrical vest top, and a long robe that reached his ankles.

He and his stylist, Felicity Kay, completed the fashion-forward look with a statement ring and ear cuff from celebrity-loved brand Messika.

Rami Malek's style in Venice is the epitome of cool.

During an outing at the festival, Malek was photographed wearing a subtle designer ensemble.

He wore $600 Prada shades, a $2,550 wool cardigan from the same brand, black trousers, and a $1,250 pair of Prada's leather shoes.

The Italian fashion house has long been a favorite among celebrities, and was named a status-symbol brand by New York Fashion Week attendees last year.

Jude Law's simple outfit was enhanced by a unique tie.

There was no denying how sharp Jude Law looked on "The Order" red carpet. He sported a black tuxedo jacket with satin lapels, matching trousers, and shining dress shoes.

But what really stood out were his form-fitting undershirt and his loose-fitting tie.

Both pieces went against the grain of typical men's fashion and added an unexpected element to his look.

Sometimes, unconventional fashion is the way to go. Just ask Rahi Chadda.

The influencer attended the "Battlefield" screening in a standout set from Jacquemus. He wore tan trousers and a matching jacket, the latter of which was designed to appear backward.

There was also a wide opening across the neckline of his top, which showed the asymmetrical button-up he wore beneath it.

Chadda completed the look with $860 square-toed loafers, a $365 red belt, and two diamond bracelets from Tiffany & Co. that retail for $11,400 and $14,500 each.

Vogue Business reported in January that Jacquemus has continued to rise in popularity, earning nearly $309 million in revenue last year.

Nicholas Hoult made a strong case for elevated casual styles.

While promoting his new film, The Order, Hoult wore a mix of casual and work-ready pieces from Bottega Veneta.

His $1,100 denim jeans complimented his simple white tank top, while his $3,300 wool jacket was in line with his leather loafers and thin woven belt.

Stylists Wendi Ferreira and Nicole DeJulio shared on Instagram that Hoult also donned a $22,700 Jaeger-LeCoultre watch — the ultimate status symbol for men in 2024.

Tuxedos never go out of style — especially for George Clooney.

There's only one word that can be used to described Clooney's outfit on the "Wolfs" red carpet: classic.

He wore a black tuxedo set atop a white button-up shirt, and added a bow tie and dress shoes to complete the look.

But the actor — who walked the red carpet with his wife Amal — also made a statement by showcasing his watch. It a black leather strap, round face, and sat prominently on his wrist.
