CGD’s Helen Flanagan breaks down in tears and admits she was ‘in love’ with David Haye amid ‘throuple’ rumours

CELEBS Go Dating’s Helen Flanagan burst into tears as she admitted she fell in love with boxer David Haye.

The mum-of-three faced the love experts on Monday night’s episode, and found herself getting vulnerable when asking about her past loves.

Speaking to Anna Williamson and Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn, Helen choked up as she admit she was last in love with sportsman David, who she met while on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

David, who is in an open relationship with Sian Osbourne, started dating Helen, but things got difficult as Helen struggled with not being the only woman in his life.

“It was quite something, it’s really hard for me to talk about it he had a girlfriend and an open relationship,” Helen said.

“I didn’t mean to fall in love with him but I did.

“We did have this amazing connection together. We were like fire together.”

“It was weird. I think he does love his girlfriend but he loves me as well,” she added.

“It just brings me to a part of my life that was quite dark, really.”

Helen explained that she felt “very lonely” after her split from long-time love Scott Sinclair, and it took her more than nine months to start dating someone new.

However, she shut down claims that she was in a “throuple” with David, saying it”wasn’t for her”.

But she stopped short of saying she was in a relationship with David, referring to it as a “situationship”.

“I was in love with the man,” she said. “I wouldn’t have enjoyed watching the man I was in love with having sex with another woman.

“That’s not for me.”

As their connection grew, Helen choked up and eventually broke down in tears as she admitted she felt “guilty” towards his girlfriend.

“I didn’t feel nice about it,” she said. “At all It makes me feel really bad and really upsets me because I’m a nice girl, I don’t mean to hurt people, and I felt really, really bad about it.”

Breaking down in tears, Helen added: “I felt really guilty about it, but I was just really lonely. I found it really hard, you know? I found it really difficult, but obviously, if you sleep with someone for quite a long time you do fall in love with them, and I was just lonely and it just happened.”

Dr Tara offered her support, saying that as long as Sian was OK with her dating David, she had nothing to feel guilty for.

She also added the feeling was “normal” for people used to monogamous relationships in a non-monogamous one for the first time.

David and Helen broke off their ‘situationship’ in December last year, leaving the Corrie star open to join Celebs Go Dating.

Celebs Go Dating airs weekdays at 9pm on E4.
