Families of criminals should not be punished for their crimes: Mayawati

BSP president Mayawati praised the Supreme Court's stance that families should not be punished for the crimes of their kin, urging legal action against criminals instead. The court plans to set nationwide guidelines following petitions demanding no further demolition of properties of accused rioters and violent individuals.
