Gardening pro reveals savvy £12 hack that can transform your patio – it works like magic & will make sure it’s kept tidy
IT’S all well and good making your garden and patio look pretty, but the unpredictable British weather can easily undo all your hard work with a single gust of wind.
Fortunately, one gardening enthusiast has discovered a clever trick to keep your well-maintained garden from falling into disarray.
Ellie, who goes by the name of @sevenpalmtreehouse on TikTok, revealed a hack that works like “magic.”
Since sharing a video of the trick on her social media page, she has gone viral with her footage gaining over 4.3 million views.
First off, Ellie explained how she added a stone border to their garden but “the stones kept moving out of place.”
This can happen on a windy day, or if the patio is heavily used and the stones keep coming out of place.
Most people would often find themselves having to brush the stones back into their section.
But Ellie discovered a water based and non toxic formula that has fixed the problem.
It’s called Easihold and can be bought from online stores including Amazon for £12.99.
The formula is used to hold stones and gravel together in a variety of places including patios, pathways, and flowerbeds.
It can also be used on garden mulch to stop weeds.
Easihold can be applied by pouring, spraying or mixing it in.
In Ellie’s video, she demonstrated how she used it.
First off, she started by pouring the mixture into a spray bottle.

She then sprayed three coats directly onto the stones before using a garden rake to even out them out so “they don’t move.”
Ellie, who has over 24,000 TikTok followers, gained 118,000 likes and over 800 comments.
Many gardening fanatics were intrigued and rushed to ask more questions about the hack.
“If it gets wet, does it return to normal?” asked one gardening fan.
Clearing things up, Ellie replied: “No it doesn’t wear off, it will eventually but not after a bit of rain lol.”
Another asked: “What if you wanted to change it in the future and now it’s stuck down.”
And Ellie replied: “You can just break it up like any building material.”
A third said: “We absolutely need this, between my cat digging them and my dog running over them, my gardens a mess.”
September gardening jobs
With September starting, so does autumn, and The Sun's Gardening Editor Veronica Lorraine has a few tasks to keep you busy as the summer sun winds down.
1. Starting thinking about Spring bulbs
Its early bulb time! As well as the more traditional daffodils, crocuses, alliums and bluebells, try snake-head fratillaries for something slightly different.
2. Remember the bees
Make sure you’re still looking after the bees with autumn flowering pollinators – like sedums, honeysuckle and asters.
3. Dig and enjoy your potatoes
Maincrop potatoes are ready to dig up – make sure you get them all so they don’t get slug damage.
4. Change your lawn mowing schedule
Raise the height of your lawn mower and start to reduce the amount of mowing you do. GIve it an autumn feed, especially if you didn’t get round to it in Summer and start to rake to remove thatch.
5. Plant out new perennials while the soil is still warm.
6. Take salvia cuttings
It’s as easy as cutting a shoot tip above a node and chucking it in a glass of water to see if it sprouts roots. Especially with tender Salvias which wont survive the winter.
7. Keep camelias well watered to make sure that buds form next year.
8. Keep on deadheading and watering your hanging baskets
They should keep going until the first frosts.
9. Get pumpkins Halloween ready
Remove any leaves shading pumpkins to make sure they’ll be ready for halloween – and make sure you keep watering them, they’re very thirsty.
10. Check on your pond
Net your pond to stop it filling with fallen leaves when the trees start to drop.
