Laura Anderson says ex boasted he had ‘Gary’s gift’ after getting her pregnant with his 5th child after months of dating
LAURA Anderson has revealed how her ex Gary Lucy boasted that he had ‘Gary’s gift’ after getting her pregnant with his fifth child.
The former couple first met on Celebs Go Dating in 2022 and a year later, Laura announced she was pregnant with Gary’s baby.
However, shortly after this announcement, the former Hollyoaks actor revealed that they were no longer together.
Speaking to Giovanna Fletcher on her podcast Happy Mum Happy Baby, the former Love Islander revealed the backstory behind her falling pregnant with Gary’s baby.
“It was planned, but it was the first month [I fell pregnant],” the 35-year-old revealed.
Laura claimed the couple had a conversation about when she was ovulating and they tried on those days and to her surprise she got pregnant that first month.
Talking about announcing her pregnancy to Gary, Laura recalls: “I remember telling him he’s like, ‘I told you.’
“He calls it ‘Gary’s gift.’ And I was like, ‘oh my God. Thanks, Gary, for your gift.”
Talking about her relationship with Gary, who she shared 12-month-old Bonnie with, Laura revealed that her relationship started off “pretty textbook.”
She claims the pair were “friends first” before he managed to “woo” her.
Laura continued: “He definitely is a charmer, you know.
“And we probably fell more in love after the show, you know, not on camera because it’s always a bit different. But yeah, I was just head over heels.”
The reality star explained that their relationship only got stronger after their stint on Celebs Go Dating as they could get to know each other on a personal level.
She said: “And then, he already had four children. He was always talking about how he’d love to have more.
“And I was like, yeah. And we tried and then it happened.”
The former Hollyoaks actor had been in a relationship with Laura, who revealed to her Instagram followers on February 16, 2023, that they were expecting their first child together.
‘Head over heels’
Uploading a video montage, she wrote: “Our hearts are full, Baby Lucy due Summer ’23.”
In one clip, Gary is seen smiling while holding baby clothes, and in another, Laura is cradling her baby bump.
However, just hours later on February 17, Gary 42, announced that they were “no longer” together but would co-parent amicably.
This confirmation came after reports that the couple had already separated in January.

But talking to Giovanna on her podcast, Laura claimed that the announcement was out of her hands.
She said: “That was not my choice.
“Yeah, we were already technically, I guess not together.
“But again, I sort of hoped that it wasn’t going to be that way.
“I think there’s a difference between when it’s a private thing and then when it’s made public.
“But, you know, we were supposed to announce on this day, and then I did. He didn’t. And then he told everyone we weren’t together.”
Since giving birth, Laura has claimed she is now solo parenting.
She said: “I’ve decided to bring this child into the world and they’ve not asked to be, at least I can give her a solid foundation of mother and father at home.
“And you know, I did, and still to this day feel guilty that I’m not able to give her that right now, in a sense.
“But I know that it’s like, not really my guilt to feel.

“And I’m doing my best, I’m kind of being mum and dad, and I’m sure it is more than enough.
“You know, everyone’s like, you’re enough, you’re enough, and I know that.
“But I hope in the future she can see her dad more; he would want to be more involved.
“It has been quite difficult.”
Laura explained that there is a big distance between them both.
She said: “Obviously when we were together, you know, we were going to live together; I was always going to move down to him in Essex.
“And then when we broke up, obviously I didn’t then move, but I don’t really think that’s an excuse in a sense.
“I think it’s not that far if you want to see your child.
“I think people need to take men, especially these days, who tend to or can not take responsibility.
“It takes two people, it takes two people to bring a child into this world.”
Last month, Laura slammed Gary on social media after he shared a clip of himself with his daughter Bonnie alongside the caption ‘The Little Things.’
The former Hollyoaks actor had been in a relationship with an ex-Love Island contestant, who revealed to her Instagram followers on February 16, 2023, that they were expecting their first child together.
But taking to the comments section Laura angrily wrote: “Instead of posting videos of the one time you saw your daughter this year, can you please reply to my text from two weeks ago please, that would be great.”
In June when responding to a troll who questioned whether Bonnie ever sees her father, Laura replied: “Do you mean has her daddy seen her…. No he hasn’t since 2nd January if you would like to direct those questions to him as I have no control over the actions of others x.”
