Despite completing her community service, finishing her awareness course and paying her fine, the mum-of-five has not been allowed back on the roads.
But, according to her latest TikTok LIVE, things are looking up for the former glamour model.
When asked what the latest with her driving fiasco was, she shouted: “Driving licence? Yes! I’m waiting any day now for it. They wrote back to me finally.”
The singer then broke into song, belting out CeCe Peniston’s 1991 hit, Finally.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Katie previously said she’s sure someone she knows has left anonymous complaints to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
She said: “I should have got my license back 16 months ago and I’ve still not got it.
“Someone anonymously kept emailing DVLA saying I’m not fit to drive and despite my doctors writing out fit to form letter four times, still haven’t got it back.
“I know it’s someone I know trying to spot me but it’s unfair because I did my community service, paid my fine, done my online course, so I should have got it back last April the 4th and I still haven’t got it.”
The Sun approached the DVLA for comment at the time.
Katie previously revealed she has to pay £14,000 a year for her car insurance.
The TV personality went on to admit it had been very hard to get the insurance she needs because of her history with driving.
Speaking on another TikTok LIVE, she said: “No insurance company will insure me on a new car or anything flash, nothing.
“So I am just lucky to be on the road in the car I am in, it’s not the car I want to be driving but no one will insure me. I have to wait a year to be able to get a new again.
“The quotes I had for my insurance on a normal car that is £15k was £73k, one was £53k and one was £33k, and they were my quotes because no one else would insure me because of who I am.
“It’s discrimination because if someone else had the same as me and they had a normal job, they wouldn’t charge that much, it’s way more than the car.”
But Katie came up with a plan to lower the price, she explained: “Then I changed it to author and the insurance is £14k for a year but it’s still not the car I want.
“I don’t care. I am on the road so it is what it is. I shouldn’t have done what I did, so you have to pay the price.
“So in a years’ time I will get the car I want and until then I am grateful.”
She has been spotted driving an Infiniti around, which sell for around £9k second hand.
When Katie was gven her suspended 16-week jail term, judge Amanda Kelly said she had “one of the worst driving records I have seen”.
But her lawyer negotiated that “mental health” at the time of her sentencing, argued PTSD and a suicide attempt was the reason she drove while under the influence.
Speaking about the incident, Katie said: “I could have killed myself.
“I could have killed someone else. I deserved to be punished, enough was enough.
“Getting in the car was a terrible mistake I’m so sorry for.
“That was a prime example of me having been triggered and not knowing how to handle it, an example of me spiralling out of control because I needed help.”
Katie’s eldest daughter Princess Andre recently announced she had passed her driver’s theory test earlier this year.
Speaking about the big milestone, Katie joked she would make the 17-year-old become her chauffeur.
She told us: “Princess has passed her theory, she’s got to do her test now, then me and Princess in the car.”
“I messaged her and said I’m that close to getting you to be my driver.”
